League Of Citizens Concerned About Literature

LOCCAL is a league of citizens united in their concerns. About literature. LOCCAL is Seattle-based and worldwide. LOCCAL likes poems. LOCCAL is publishing projects, group composition, parties. LOCCAL is public posters about hand washing. LOCCAL's struggle is noble; it doesn't mind writhing like spaghetti on the fork of capitalism—so long as it reaches the mouth of the People. Hungry?

Call for Submissions

LOCCAL is seeking submissions of poems for Public Health. We are gunning for succint and thought-provoking poems to appear on a series of placards addressing five specific Public Health concerns:

1. Hand washing
2. Tooth-brushing
3. Self-breast examination
4. Safe sex
5. Drinking and driving

Please submit brief, topic-specific poems. Poems need not necessarily instruct. Handwashing and tooth-brushing poems are intended primarily for diversion while engaging in said healthy activity. A handwashing or tooth-brushing poem should last approximately 30 seconds when read aloud. If your poem is chosen for publication, you will receive your very own Laminated Collection of the Public Health Poetry Series. Please email submissions as an attachment in Word to loccallit@yahoo.com .
